Covid-19

Positive Case of Covid-19 at Causeyside 8 December 2021

We can confirm that someone who has been in the church building has tested positive for Covid-19. The individual has been asked to inform NHS Test and Protect of their attendance at the church building in order that effective contact tracing may take place.

We would wish to reassure you that we have in place all the recommended infection prevention and control measures and a thorough cleaning programme for our church building.

It remains important to remember that mixing socially in the community without maintaining physical distancing measures helps the virus to spread widely. It is therefore important that people remain vigilant and follow the guidance from the Scottish Government to keep a physical distance from those in other households as well as wear face coverings wherever possible.

Individuals should continue to wash their hands thoroughly and regularly using soap and water for 20 seconds. The Scottish Government are actively encouraging everyone to undertake two Lateral Flow tests a week even if they do not display Covid-19 symptoms. We recommend that you follow this advice and home testing kits are available from most local community pharmacies or online at https://avanan.url-protection.com/v1/url?o=www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests&g=OWJmYTU1MjhlMDAzODg2MA==&h=MzgyYzBmZjRiMjk5YzhjMGNhNjI0OTAzMTY2MDc3OTQyOGNkODMxNzZhNjU2OTgwZDRiYzVhNGE3YzVhOWUzOA==&p=YXAzOmNvczphdmFuYW46bzpiOWJkMjE0OGQzODBiNjRkNmI4YWNlMzE5Y2E5YzBkZTp2MTp0.

Individuals who experience any Covid-19 symptoms such as a cough, fever or loss of taste or smell, even if they are mild, should stay isolate immediately and get tested. Information on how to access testing is available at: https://avanan.url-protection.com/v1/url?o=www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test&g=N2UxOGMxZDYwMDg1MjAzZA==&h=MTgwODExMzJjZjk2ZTcwMDgzNDkxOWQ4MWE3MjEwMGNmMDAxNGRlNGI2MGRlYzkwNWMxMDU5N2IxYjQ5YTdkZA==&p=YXAzOmNvczphdmFuYW46bzpiOWJkMjE0OGQzODBiNjRkNmI4YWNlMzE5Y2E5YzBkZTp2MTp0.

Photograph Competition

Photograph Competition

Previously Stow Brae Kirk held a Green Fingers and Wooden Spoon afternoon, this allowed members of the church to show case their talents by exhibiting cut flowers, floral arrangements, fruit, vegetables etc all home grown. There was also a craft and home baking section. Crafts included knitted, crochet, sewn item, cross stitch, bookmark, card, etc. Baking included jam, chutney, cheesecake, cupcakes, pancakes etc.

With Covid-19 restrictions remaining in place we are going to hold the Green Fingers and Wooden Spoon show online. We would like members young and old of Paisley St George’s Church together with the Girls Brigade, Boys Brigade and Guides to send us by email a photograph of a flower, pot plant, fruit, vase of flowers, floral arrangements etc. If you are crafty then we would like a photo of your craft, be it sewn, crochet, cross stitch, painting etc.

Alternatively, if you are a baker then your photograph could be of a fruit loaf, Victoria sponge, cheesecake, pancake, cupcake, even a pot of jam or chutney. The photographs of flowers, veg, crafts and baking are of your choice. We would like the children to send us a photograph of a drawing of a flower, fruit or craft it could even be an animal made from veg.

The photos should be emailed to flowersandcrafts2021@gmail.com by the evening of Friday 20th August 2021 and they will then be posted on the church Facebook page for all to see. Remember the flowers, fruit, crafts and baking must be home grown or made by you. There will be no trophies or prizes. IF WE ARE OVER SUBSCRIBED WITH PHOTOGRAPHS THEN YOUR PHOTO MAY NOT BE SHOWN.
